As an engineer in trade-building startups, Kanad tested different user acquisition strategies. He realized sending personalized videos in cold emails led to much higher response rates. However, customizing unique videos for every prospect didn't scale.

So three years ago, Kanad's team built Potion to automate video personalization via AI. He notes Potion was one of the first video prospecting tools in the market focused explicitly on sales teams.

Impact and Results

The potion has helped customers improve click-through rates by 500%+ over text-only emails. Opportunities booked per campaign cycle also rose 5x for some, like SAP.

The platform works for individual reps and enterprise sales teams alike, thanks to its AI scaling. However, Kanad notes that for larger rollouts, the challenge is having enough customer success reps to onboard everyone properly. So, in 2023, a focus is improving self-service training to empower more users.

Key Integrations and Roadmap

Potion seamlessly integrates with major CRMs like Salesforce and marketing tools like HubSpot. Kanad says upcoming highlights include more advanced editing capabilities, where users can tweak subtitles and have changes reflected automatically in the video. More gesture and emotion customization is also on the roadmap.
